According to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution authorities shut down I-85 for over two hours in order to clean up the wreck caused by a wrong way driver on the interstate.
The collision was a chain reaction which caused a four car wreck injuring nine people. Luckily no life threatening injuries resulted from this unnecessary collision.
According to the initial investigation a driver got on I-85 and got into the HOV lane heading southbound in the northbound lanes around 3:00 am.
The collision occurred at Swallowford road and Chamblee Tucker roads. The investigation continues but police believe that alcohol may have a factor in this collision.
The injured people should look into immediately hiring legal representation for this matter. As the insurance policies are written in Georgia there may only be $50,000.00 in liability coverage for all nine injured.
That is of course assuming the at-fault driver has minimum limits. In a unfortunate matter as this, it is so important to have uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage so if you are injured by a drunk driver you will have coverage to cover your medical bills.
