According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution online, a Actworth, Georgia resident died on the job in Chattanooga, Tennessee while he was working. According to police reports Jimy Henry Tovar of Actworth was preparing to plaster a ceiling in an apartment complex when the bucket he was standing on gave way. Mr. Tovar fell approximately three stories landing head first on the concrete.
In the second death that occurred to Georgia residents on the job, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Lewis William Leary was killed when he was run over by a forklift at the Gerdau Ameristeel plant in Cartersville, Brian Irish, Bartow County.
Both of these unfortunate deaths occurred on the job. Our hearts and prayers go out to both families for their untimely deaths.
