Gwinnett County Raises Ambulance Fees

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners have agreed to raise the fee for emergency medical transports to $975.00.

So what does that mean if you are injured in an Atlanta car accident your average fee for being transported in an ambulance in Gwinnett County will be $975.00.  If you are seriously injured you have no choice.  If you are not, you may want to transport yourself to the hospital.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution Gwinnett County transports thirty one thousand people in the course of a year.  Gwinnett County officials advise the increase brings them up to the fee other emergency medical transportation services charge, and will help with their budget short fall.
