Atlanta Workers’ Compensation Attorney – If I Am Hurt at Work, Can I File A Lawsuit in Georgia?

If you are hurt at work as an employee in Georgia you likely have a workers’ compensation claim and will need to file your claim through the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation.

Georgia has what is called “the exclusive remedy rule”.  This rule states if you are an employee and you are injured on the job your exclusive remedy is to bring a workers’ compensation claim.  Therefore typically speaking you would need to bring your claim in workers’ compensation.
