According to an article in savannahnow.com, a woman was injured after being pinned between a utility pole and a car.
The incident took place on Tuesday at approximately 4:30 p.m. at 41st Street and Skidaway Road. According to police, a Buick pulled into a parking spot and the driver tried to back out of the spot because he felt he parked to close to the next vehicle in the lot. As his backed up, he hit the curb, pulled forward and then hit the back of a GMC Yukon also parked in the lot. The man then backed up again and hit the curb a second time. He accelerated while in reverse and ended up backing into a Suburban. It was at this time that a woman and her son were taking some things out of their vehicle and became pinned between the Buick and the utility pole.
The woman was injured seriously, however, the article reports the injuries were not life threatening. The woman’s son was also brought to the hospital to rule out injury.
We offer our best wishes to the woman for a quick and full recovery.
