According to 11alive.com, one student from Marietta Middle School was transported by air to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite after a crash involving a car and a Marietta High School bus.
Per Marietta police, the middle school student that was injured was a passenger in the other vehicle involved in the wreck. Police said that the car failed to yield to the bus on Ga. 120 and that the bus could not stop before impact.
The driver of the school bus and 15 of the students riding the bus were sent to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Two of them were taken by ambulence and the others were transported in another school bus.
The age of the students involved in the wreck are 14 to 18 years old. According to a hospital spokesperson, they were all in stable condition upon arrival at the hospital, and they were all expected to be released by late Friday morning.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the wreck was not seriously injured according to the article.
Charges are pending.
