Savannah Pedestrian Killed; Two Seriously Injured in Scooter Wreck

According to an article on Savannahnow.com, a 36-year-old man died Wednesday night from injuries he sustained after he was hit by two vechilces while he walked along Ogeechee Road per police.

The pedestrian, David Williams, is thought to have been walking home from his job when he was hit by a southbound Chevrolet Monte Carlo said police. Another driver in a Pontiac Grand Am, also heading southbound, hit Williams due to the fact that he could not see him lying in the road police added.

Williams was pronounced dead after being transported to Memorial University Medical Center.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

In another unrelated wreck, two people sustained serious injuries on Tuesday when a motor scooter and a station wagon collided in Savannah’s Metropolitan Neighborhood per an article on Savannahnow.com.

The injured were both riding on the scooter and were both in serious condition from their injuries. Police were not clear about the cause of the incident at the time of the Savannah Morning News article.
