Driver Charged with Homicide By Vehicle After Head-on Collision

Atlanta police have charged Mr. William Vickers, 50, with homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain lane after a head-on collision in southwest Atlanta Monday. According to police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones, Vickers was attempting to avoid hitting the back of a car in his 1996 GMC Suburban by suddenly applying his brakes and swerving to the left into oncoming traffic. He unfortunately collided with Ms. Sharion Thomas’ 1994 Honda Accord trapping her inside the vehicle. She was ultimately extracted by the Atlanta Fire Department and transported Grady Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries at 5:50 p.m.

Ms. Thomas was only 46 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends after her tragic loss.

  • Awesome Lawyer and very helpful!

  • Mr. Wilson is truly a very good person who cares about people. I understand he selected this career but I do know he makes many sacrifices to help he’s clients. I am very grateful to have had him as my attorney and if I ever have to use one again (hopefully not) it will be Mr. Wilson.

  • He worked with me. He told me everything. He called me. He gave me all the information.

  • He will be my family lawyer from now until the end because I can trust him.

  • He's just a great guy.

  • He always calls you right back and even if it's on the weekend - he's going to call you back.
