According to the Savannah Morning News, a forklift accident claimed the life of a Georgia port worker on Wednesday at Georgia Ports’ Ocean Terminal.

The worker has been identified as Dianne Pinckney Cobb, 57. She was a member of the International Longshoremen’s Association Local 1475.

Authorities say that the incident happened around 10:15 a.m. near a bulk carrier ship, the Arietta, which had just come in from Wilmington, NC.
