A man from Marietta is in critical condition with a severe head injury resulting from a two-car collision Monday morning on Highway 92 near Daventry Crossing. The injured man is reported to be 26-year-old Aaron Pieper who was life-flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital in
Atlanta after his Honda Accord collided with the driver of a Ford F-250.
According to the sheriff’s office, it appears that Pieper made a left turn in front of the Ford truck driver when the passenger side of his Honda was hit by the oncoming vehicle. The driver of the truck has been reported as 22-year-old Juan Carlos Justo-Hernandez of Roswell who was uninjured during the crash.
As of Tuesday, Pieper remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Grady Hospital and Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office stated that the accident is still under investigation.
We offer our best wishes to Mr. Pieper for a full and quick recovery from his injuries.
