According to an article in the Savannah Morning News on savannahnow.com, a Pooler motorcyclist was injured seriously on Wednesday when a pickup attempted to turn in front of him.
Leon Parvel, 44, was eastbound on Robert B. Miller Road when a 48-year-old man from Statesboro turned in front of his motorcycle causing Parvel’s bike to hit the right-hand side of the truck. Parvel was thrown, as a result, into the westbound lanes of traffice. The incident occured at the employee entrance to Gulfstream.
Parvel was hospitalized for injuries to his head and face.
The wreck is currently under investigation by the Savannah-Chatham police department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
We hope that Mr. Parvel is able to make a full and quick recovery from his injuries.
