According to the Newnan Times-Herald, a Friday evening wreck in Coweta County injured three children as well as their grandmother.
In incident happened just before 6:00 p.m. at Hwy. 54 and Gordon Road. A full-sized pickup truck T-boned the passenger car carrying the children and their grandmother. Authorities stated that the car “sustained heavy intrusion to the driver side.”
A seven-year-old child and the grandmother had to be cut from the vehicle. An 11-year-old boy was able to get out of the front seat on his own. Another child was in the backseat in a car seat and was taken to an Atlanta-area children’s hospital. The grandmother and the seven-year-old boy were both transported by flight to Atlanta-area trauma centers according to the article.
We certainly hope that the children as well as the grandmother who were injured in this serious crash are able to make full and quick recoveries.
