According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, a Cherokee County wreck has taken the lives of a man and woman from TX and injured their 2-month-old baby.
The baby sustained a traumatic brain injury and a broken leg from the accident according to County authorities.
The couple, Rick Dean Headen, 48, and Charlotte Ann Sedtal, 40, from Sour Lake, Texas were traveling east on Knox Bridge Hwy just west of Canton when it appears their vechicle, a Ford Focus, crossed into the other lane and hit a pick-up truck. Headen and Sedtal were pronounced dead at the scene. The baby was trasnported to an Atlanta-area children’s hospital.
Additionally, two adults in the pick-up truck were injured and transported to an area hospital as well. Per the article, those injuries did not appear life threatening, however.
The wreck is currently being investigated.
Our prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Headen and Ms. Sedtal. We hope their infant son is able to make a full recovery from his injuries. We send our best wishes and prayers for full recoveries to the other two people who were injured in this horrible wreck.
