It was reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com that a wreck on Sunday in Cobb County seriously injured a 6-year-old boy when the SUV in which he was a passenger, flipped over after being T-boned by another vehicle at the intersection of Macland Road and John Ward Road.
According to Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb County Police, the boy was flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite with a head injury.
A witness told the AJC that it seemed as though the SUV was attempting to turn onto John Ward Road. It is not clear if this was a result of mechanical malfunction or distracted driving or the other vehicles if they were travelling too fast for conditions or some mix of all of the above.
The accident is being investigated by the Cobb County police to determine the cause of the wreck.
Our prayers are with the injured child and his family for a full recovery.
