Atlanta Workers’ Compensation Attorney – Do I Have To Speak With A Defense Lawyer?

Our video topic for today is do I have to speak with a defense attorney if they contact me on the phone?

Well, if you’re represented by counsel you should not be contacted at all by a defense attorney.  However, if you are attempting to represent yourself in a workers’ compensation claim and have filed a hearing, the equivalent of litigation in workers’ compensation, you are required to deal with the defense attorney’s office in answering discovery and/or setting up a deposition, possibly both, and there will be other issues that you need to discuss with the attorney.

Therefore it is always recommended that you speak to a Georgia workers’ compensation attorney prior to filing any litigation to find out what your rights are and to determine what your best course of action is under the law.

We hope that you found this information helpful and we hope that you will come check out our other videos.  If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call.  Thank you.

Testimonials

  • Awesome Lawyer and very helpful!

  • Mr. Wilson is truly a very good person who cares about people. I understand he selected this career but I do know he makes many sacrifices to help he’s clients. I am very grateful to have had him as my attorney and if I ever have to use one again (hopefully not) it will be Mr. Wilson.

  • He worked with me. He told me everything. He called me. He gave me all the information.

  • He will be my family lawyer from now until the end because I can trust him.

  • He's just a great guy.

  • He always calls you right back and even if it's on the weekend - he's going to call you back.
