Our video topic for today is if I was injured in a Savannah car wreck and I lost wages and was taken out of work, will I be entitled to those lost wages; and the answer is yes.
You’re entitled to lost wages; however I would say it is very important that you have a doctor’s medical excuse that says you cannot do the work that you were typically doing. If you take yourself out of work and do not have a medical excuse to be out of work then you’re going to have a hard time with the insurance company, they’re gonna fight you and they’re gonna say you just took a vacation and you’re trying to get paid for it. So it’s very important that medically you’re not able to work your job and so you want to be real careful.
The longer the time away from work the more the insurance company’s gonna focus on what were your job duties at work and why could you not do them as a result of the Savannah motor vehicle collision. So it tends to be tied to the injuries that you have sustained in the car wreck.
We hope that you found this information helpful and we hope that you will come check out our other videos and call us if you have any questions. Thank you.
