912-208-2992, www.TyWilsonLaw.com. Savannah | Atlanta, Georgia workers’ compensation lawyer Ty Wilson discusses if you can open your workers’ compensation claim.
Our video topic for today is can I re‑open my workers’ compensation claim? The short answer on that is, maybe. It depends on if you have settled the claim. If you settled the claim, you have basically in exchange for a lump sum of money, given up your right to obtain future medical care and/or benefits through the workers’ compensation system for that injury. However, if you have not settled your claim, there is a distinct possibility that you can re‑open the claim; it just depends on the date that you were injured. So, you want to reach out to a Georgia workers’ compensation attorney, let them know when, you were injured and if there was any documentation signed. Or did paperwork showing you may have settled your claim. We hope that you found this information helpful and we hope that you’ll come check out our other videos and if you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thank you.
