According to cbsatlanta.com, per the Georgia Department of Transporation, a three-vehicle accident has claimed the life of one person and injured seven in Jackson County on I-85 northbound (MM-127).

Per police, a passenger-car vehicle that was partially in the median and partially in the northbound lane was struck by an SUV and was knocked into a tractor trailer. The SUV was trying to pass the tractor trailer at the time of the incident.

The driver of the passenger car was killed in the accident. The names of those involved were not available.
