Atlanta Workers Killed in Heavy Machinery Accident | Atlanta Workers Comp Lawyer

According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, two Atlanta workmen were killed when a piece of heavy machinery fell over.

Rigoberto Lopez, 29, of Marietta, and Karlos Turner, 42, of Dallas, died after an 80-foot lift fell over on Dallas Street off the 500 block of Glen Iris. The men were transported to a local hospital, where they both died. According to the Fulton County medical Examiner's Office, the men died from the fall.

At the time of the incident, the men were working on the Amli Old 4th Ward Apartment Homes. According to the AJC, the lift became stuck and when the workers attempted to move the equipment, it fell to the ground, a concrete walkway.
