On Sunday, 23-year-old, Jacob Guy Halbrooks, of Conyers, was celebrating his upcoming wedding with friends in downtown Atlanta when he was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the Connector as he was walking.

As police have not yet been able to identify the responsible driver, Halbrooks' family is offering a reward equalling $5,000 for information relating to the vehicle and the driver. The car was initially described by a witness as a dark-colored Mercedes or BMW sedan.
