Fayette County Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Fayette County resident was killed in a motorcycle collision last Thursday evening when another vehicle pulled in to his path.  Brian Schornack, age 26 was driving his motorcycle on Ga 85 when a Jeep Wrangler pulled into his lane of traffic.

The driver of the 1994 Jeep Wrangler suffered minor injuries, but Brian Schornack was ejected from his motorcycle and died at the scene.

Major Bryan Woodie of the Fayette County Sherriff's Department is still investigating this matter and charges are still pending.

There is no mention of whether this is a failure to yield issue from the 18 year driver of the Jeep Wrangler or if this was a matter where the motorcycle was operating his vehicle too fast for the traffic conditions.

Regardless of fault, our prayers go out to Mr. Schornack's family for a very unfortunate collision.
