An Illinois company, Popcorn Palace is alerting people who have allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy and wheat that some popcorn products packaged in 1-Gallon Value Bags contain these allergens and are not declared on the package.
Per the company, some bags were shipped without the ingredient and allergen information applied to the containers. The products in question would have been purchased after October 1, 2011 and were sold via the company's fundraising programs.
People with allergies to the above-mentioned items are in danger of suffering severe and/or deadly allergic reactions if they eat the following popcorn products:
Cheddar Cheese (milk, soy ingredients)
White Cheddar (milk, soy ingredients)
Chicago Style (milk, soy ingredients)
Gourmet Caramel (milk, soy ingredients)
Rainbow (soy ingredients)
Caramel Nut (milk, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (contains almonds, cashews))
Chocolate Drizzle Caramel (milk, soy ingredients)
Macadamia Butter Crunch (contains milk, soy, macadamia nuts)
Cookies & Cream (milk, soy, wheat ingredients)
Spicy Cheese (milk, soy, wheat ingredients)
