Gwinnett Accident Lawyer | Driver Charged in Accident with Stroller

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, the driver who backed into a 1-year-old child riding in a stroller in a Gwinnett park has been charged witih misdemeanor vehicular homicide. The driver was additionally charged with improper backing.

The incident occurred September 17 at Lenora Park on Lenora Church Road when the driver was backing up her 2005 Chrysler Pacifica in the parking lot. The vehicle hit a stroller with 1-year-old Olivia Hellwig in it that was being pushed by the mother of the child. The child was transported to the hospital after the accident and later died. The mother was treated for minor injuries.
