As per a story by WSAV on wsav.com, three tractor trailers and one vehicle were involved in an accident on I-16 Wednesday night.
The GSP stated that it was a chain reaction the caused one of the trucks to crash into another one, which then caused a third semi to jackknife. A passenger car crashed into a tree after maneuvering to avoid the wreck.
According to WSAV, one of the semi drivers was able to save another truck driver by punching out a window and then pulling the driver out of the truck. The driver of the third truck had to be taken by air to an area hospital. It was reported that the driver of the car did not suffer serious injuries according to the article.
