What can I do if my employer refuses to report my Atlanta work injury | Savannah work injury to his Georgia workers compensation insurance company?

A: The first thing you must find out is does your Atlanta employer have Georgia workers compensation coverage. Not all employers are required to carry workers compensation coverage. If your employer has three or fewer employees, they are not required currently under Georgia law to carry Georgia workers compensation coverage. If this is the case, the employer will be paying out of his pocket.

If, however, your employer has workers compensation insurance (the information can be determined on-line), then you can contact them. It is always best to notify both the employer and the insurer in writing when you can of your work injuries.
