According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, a head-on collision near Athens killed two brothers on Sunday.
The accident happened at about 5:15 p.m. on U.S.29 in Clark County said Hilda Sorrow, spokeswoman for the Athens-Clark County Police.
Per Sorrow, a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant driven by Barry Lynn Dailey, 46, crossed the median while going northbound and collided head-on with a 2009 Honda Accord.
Both Dailey and his passenger, brother Bud Eugene Dailey, 51, both were killed at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, Gaydell Edwards Kesler, 66, and passengers, Shirly Inez Rogers, 60, and Allie Marie Faulkner, 10, all of Hull, were taken to Athens Regional Medical Center.
Police are still investigating, it is unclear if Mr. Dailey was distracted or is mechanical failure of any part contributed to his vehicle crossing into on coming traffic.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their family, and friends.
