According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, a wrong-way collision seriously injured two people in DeKalb County on 1-85 north of Clairmont Road on Thursday.
John Mimms, 34, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was identified as the wrong-way driver who hit a car driven by Erin McPherson, 19, of Alpharetta. McPherson had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters according to Channel 2 Action News. She was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
Mimms suffered moderate injuries in the wreck and was also taken to an area hospital. Reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, and DUI less safe driver are some of the charges he is facing in connection to this wreck.
