According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, an accident on Ga. 20 near Canton in Cherokee County killed a passenger and injured two other people.
Police say that Barry Allen Freeman, 23, from Adairsville, was killed at the scene. He was in the backseat of a vehicle that wrecked with a tractor-trailer.
The driver, Richard Bagley, 29, from Cartersville, was transported by air to Grady and the passenger who was sitting in the front seat, Matthew Wilcox, 37, from Cartersville was taken to an area hospital for serious injuries.
Per the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the investigators of the crash are saying that the Saturn was hit by the tractor-trailer when its driver attempted U-turning in front of the truck.
According to police, the driver of the tractor-trailer will not be charged.
This crash is still under investigation.
