As reported by the Associated Press in an article published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, three people are dead after a Pontiac Grand Am pulled out in front of a pickup truck on a Covington highway Friday.
Tesha Barrington, 22, the Pontiac's driver and two of her passengers, Lori Renee Crawford, 36, and her daughter Sierra Sky Fletcher, 16, were killed in the crash according to the Georgia State Patrol.
It is not clear if there was any mechanical issues with the vehicle or if this was the result of some form of distraction that contributed to this crash.
Barrington's 2-year-old son and another passenger were treated with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, 18-year old Jeffrey Gabriel Day, was treated at the scene.
Our prayers go out to the families that lost loved ones due to this most unfortunate event.
