Car Hits Girl Crossing Road in Marietta, Georgia

Posted on Feb 18, 2011

It was reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com that a 15-year-old girl crossing South Marietta Parkway in Marietta Wednesday morning was struck and injured by a green 1995 Chevrolet Astro van that was traveling east, according to Marietta police.

At this time there is no information on if the driver of the Chevy Astro was distracted, or what possible contributing factors may have contributed to the collision.  Equally important in pedestrian claims is if the pedestrian was in a properly marked cross walk, at this time we do not know if the young girl was in a properly marked cross walk or how the weather may have affected the line of sight of the driver of the Chevy Astro.

The girl was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where she is listed in good condition.  Her name was not released.

We wish the girl a quick recovery.
