It was reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com that a 23-year-old female driver of a Dodge Durango, traveling northbound on Cobb Parkway around 4 a.m. on Sunday, stopped her vehicle in the middle of the road and was hit in the back by a silver Lexus ES350 also traveling northbound in the same lane on Cobb Parkway. The driver of the Durango was arguing with her passenger, according to police.
Authorities said the two people in the Durango were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the Lexus and the passenger were taken to Kennestone Hospital in good condition.
Charges are pending and an investigation is in progress. At this point it is unclear if the vehicle stopped suddenly or if the other driver was distracted and not able to stop in time.
