According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution on ajc.com, 3 members of a train crew were injured when their train collided with a truck in Marietta.
The truck was hauling scrap metal and became stuck on the track located near Loudermilk Drive and Marble Mill Road around 4:00 p.m. on Monday reported police. Witnessness said attempts were made to get the truck off the tracks, however, to no avail. When the train approached from around a bend, it couldn't stop and T-boned the 18-wheeler said a witness.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the wreck, as he was out of the cab when the crash occured.
Three of the crew members from the train who complained of injuries were taken to an area hospital.
