According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, a 22-year-old man is getting 15 years in jail for purchasing the alcohol that was blamed in a 2011 Douglas County fatal wreck.
Dustin Willis pled guilty to buying the alcohol and apologized to the court for what he had done. The wreck killed Cheyenne Sauls, of Villa Rica.
According to prosecutors, Willis purchased liquor and beer that 17-year-old, Jason Lark, drank before causing a wreck that killed Sauls and injured two others. Willis was in the vehicle that crashed and was the only adult. He fled the scene of the wreck.
Lark pled guilty and was sentenced to 7 years in prison in September. Ten people were charged for this wreck overall.
Our sympathies remain with the family and friends of Cheyenne Sauls.
