As reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, two people were killed Wednesday morning when an SUV ran a red light and struck a Toyota Camry on Ga. 316 near the intersection of Jimmy Daniels Road.
The SUV driver, Diane Noles Stotler, of Orange Park, Fla., and a 14-year-old passenger were traveling eastbound on Ga. 316 when they struck the Camry traveling northbound. They were treated at area hospitals, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening according to Lt. Paul Cosper of the Georgia State Patrol.
Denghui Cheng, 58, and his wife, Caxia Cheng, 57, who lived in Bishop, in Oconee County died at the scene.
The wreck scene is located about 20 miles east of Lawrenceville and is being investigated by The Georgia State Patrol. It is not clear if the driver was distracted or if their vehicle sufferred any malfunction or if the driver was suffering from a medical condition.
