After a high school football game in Sparta on Friday night, the visiting coach was badly injured as he tried to break up an attack by the home team on his players according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com.
David Daniels apparently was hit in the face by a helmet according Dr. Jean Carey, Warren County Superintendent.
Daniels had to have reconstructive surgery to his face and remains hospitalized with injuries to his head and face that include crushed bones above his eye and below his eye.
Our prayers are with Mr. Daniels for a full recovery from this tragic and troubling incident.
