Posted on Aug 12, 2011

As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a Georgia Power Company worker with 20 years experience was electrocuted while working on a line along US Highway 82 east of Brookfield, Georgia.

The employee, Steven Broadus Sellers, 48, of Moultrie, and other crew members were trying to restore power after a line went down due to a storm. He came in contact with a live line and was electrocuted according to the Tift County Coroner.

Our prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Sellers after this tragic accident.
