As reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on ajc.com, a tractor-trailer on I-285 southbound killed a 21-year-old newlywed, near MLK Drive.
Danielle Holly's Nissan Sentra was struck by the tractor-trailer driven by Jack Parsons, 51, as he was attempting to change lanes, causing the Nissan to strike the right guardrail and then cross the highway. The Nissan was then hit by the cab of another tractor-trailer, flipping and then landing on its side according to the Atlanta police.
Parsons was arrested and was booked into the Fulton County jail and charged with second degree vehicular homicide and improper lane change, said police.
Holly's husband was a passenger in the Nissan and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Our prayers are with Ms. Holly's husband, their family, and their friends during this very sad and difficult time.
