According the the Times-Herald.com, one of the drivers in a Coweta County wreck on Wednesday has now died from resulting injuries.
Two women in the other car involved in the wreck remained in the hospital Friday. According to friends of the family, Stephanie Strube, 47, and her daughter, Daniella, 14, were improving.
The name of the man who died was not released at the time this article was published, however, he was 72 years old from Greenville, GA according to police.
Per the Georgia State Patrol, the initial investigation of the wreck revealed that the male driver was travelling north on US Hwy 27 Alt at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when he swerved to avoid hitting a car exiting a driveway. As a result, his vehicle crossed the center line and hit the car occupied by Stephanie and Daniella Strube.
All three people had to be extricated, which police described as "very extensive." All of the involved were taken by flight to Atlanta-area medical facilities.
We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the man who died in this unfortunate incident. We are hoping for a full recovery for Stephanie and Daniella Strube.
