Police Officer and Another Driver Injured in Atlanta Crash

Posted on Jul 29, 2011

An Atlanta police officer and a driver of another vehicle were injured in a car accident at the intersection of Peachtree and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. today.

As reported by myfoxatlanta.com and ajc.com, the officer was responding to a call to assist another officer when he proceeded through an intersection with his blue lights on but no siren. His vehicle hit another car that had the green light at the time. That car then struck another vehicle.

Both the officer and one of the drivers were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

An investigation is underway.
