According to savannahnow.com, a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a Savannah-Chatham police forensics van at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. The incident occurred on US Hwy 17 north of Dean Forest Road.
The name of the deceased was not released at the time of this post.
Garden City police are conducting an investigation according to the article.
