According to an article on savannahnow.com, a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) was in critical condition following a collision between her bicycle and a car last night after midnight.
Per a Savannah-Chatham police spokesperson, Joy Leeann Peterson from Tampa, FL was riding eastbound on 34th Street on her bicycle when she collided with a vehicle driven by 22-year-old, Merideth Brown, from Hinesville who was travelling north on Drayton Street. Ms. Peterson was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The wreck is under investigation.
