According to an article in jacksonville.com, a Glynn County school bus carrying middle school students crashed into a car on Friday.
The car's driver was trapped after the car became pinned against a tree. The driver had to be freed by rescue workers and was taken by flight to a Savannah medical facility for treatment. Police reported that it did not appear that any of the students had been injured in the wreck.
The bus reportedly was traveling south on Goodyear Avenue when it ran into the car that was headed west on Talmadge.
It took rescue workers over an hour to free the driver from the trapped car. Workers ultimately had to cut off the top of the car and cut away part of the dashboard to remove the driver.
We hope the driver makes a full and quick recovery from this frightening accident.
