According to the Savannah Morning News on savannahnow.com, a 16-year-old student from Savannah Country Day School died in a car wreck at a South Carolina hunting club in Hardeeville on Saturday night.
Authorities reported that the Toyota pickup truck driven by Sligh overturned after he lost control of it on a dirt road at the New River Hunting Club. Sligh was not wearing a seat belt and died in the wreck.
Another teen, William Woods, was a passenger in the truck and was wearing his seatbelt. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries from which he is expected to recover.
We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Stuart Sligh. We also offer our best wishes to William Woods for a full and quick recovery from his injuries.
