According to an article on savannahnow.com, a woman was killed after a wreck on Montgomery Crossroad near Sallie Mood drive on Wednesday around 7:00 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver a black sedan that was going east on Montgomery, turning left. The witnesses said it looked as though the driver was going to drive over a curb and head into the park. His car, instead, hit a Honda Accord.
Sheila H. McKnight, 58, from Savannah was driving the Accord and was killed in the wreck. The other driver had to be cut from his vehicle and was taken to an area hospital.
We send our condolences to the family and friends of Ms. McKnight after this tragic incident. We hope that the other injured driver makes a full recovery from his injuries.
