So you have been involved in a motor vehicle collision and now you are wondering if you should get medical treatment?

First question, are you hurt?  There is nothing to be gained by seeking treatment for treatment's sake.  The reality is there are insurance fraud units looking for people who are attempting to defraud insurance companies by acting as if they have been hurt when they truly have not been.

On the other hand, if you are hurt, you do need to seek medical treatment and make sure it is not more serious than you think.  Some of my most serious car accident claims were ones where the client did not go by ambulance to the hospital from the scene.  However they did seek treatment on their own once they realized that their pain would not go away.

The important thing is not to kid yourself, most people just want to go on with life, the car crash is a huge inconvenience especially if their car is totaled or un-drivable.

If you have questions chances are you should be seen by a medical doctor to rule out that there is a more serious injury under that pain.

The insurance companies understand most people do not look for claims, so they love it when people are hurt and wait to treat.  The fact is the longer the people wait the easier it will be to convince a jury that you hurt yourself doing something at work or at your home so they can deny responsibility for your injuries.

We see this all the time.  Think about how you feel.  If you are hurting go to the doctor, if not leave it alone.

We hope you have found this information helpful and will look at our other videos and request our books and special reports for more information about a Georgia auto accidents, and Georgia workers compensation claims.
