What is a deposition?  Quite simply it is a question and answer session between you and the opposing attorney.  Attorneys use depositions to gather information on a claim or case and to attempt to read you as a witness and determine if you are credible or not.  It is the main way an attorney is able to speak directly with the opposing party and seek their side of the story.
